Step 1: Diagnosis

Schedule an Appointment

If you are noticing signs of autism (ASD), it is imperative to act early and speak with your child's pediatrician as soon as possible. Children can be diagnosed as early as 18 months and studies show that early intervention is key.

It is important to write down what you are noticing at home, along with questions, comments or concerns to share with the health professionals.

Remember, if your professional doesn't think your child is on the autism spectrum but you are still concerned - it is okay to ask for a second opinion from another professional.

Need help finding a provider?

If you are needing help finding a primary provider, diagnosing provider or needing a second opinion - check out our provider list.
