Sarah is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who is licensed to provide applied behavior analysis services in Missouri. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from the University of Central Missouri (UCM) and a Master of Arts in Applied Behavior Analysis from Ball State University. During her time at UCM, she found the field of ABA and became fully invested in exploring all of the coursework and applying behavioral principles in research and applied settings. Her favorite quote from the field is from B.F Skinner himself: “Don’t try to change yourself, change your environment.”
Sarah began working in the field in 2015, starting as a direct care staff professional for adults with developmental disabilities at a habilitation center. After working in the field with adults, Sarah moved to Seattle, Washington where she began working as a behavior therapist with children ages 2-15 years old in homes, schools, and social group settings. She became driven in helping children learn to communicate and socialize in the world around them, and continued her career in 2019 by moving back to Missouri and becoming a Registered Behavior Technician, working with children in a clinical setting. Sarah continued her career, becoming a Lead RBT where she developed her skills as a trainer for newly minted RBTs.
In 2024, Sarah became a licensed Board Certified Behavior Analyst and is now managing a caseload, supervising staff, and training new RBTs. In her free time, Sarah enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, reading, and quoting movies of all kinds.
Bethanie is a Provisional Assistant Behavior Analyst at Expressions. Bethanie earned her bachelor’s degree in Applied Behavioral Analysis from Central Methodist University. Bethanie is very knowledgeable in sign language and plans to pursue a certificate in American Sign Language.
While in high school, Bethanie met a young man who was diagnosed with autism. He definitely influenced her life and pointed her in the direction of working with children with autism. Bethanie began her career at Expressions as an RBT and has enjoyed helping children grow and learn. She is very passionate about what she does. To her it’s more than just teaching strategies; It’s watching young individuals learn to communicate, interact with peers and develop independence.
Outside of the clinic, Bethanie enjoys spending time with family, friends and her fur babies. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, camping and traveling.
Regina is the Medical Office Administrative Assistant for Expressions. Before joining Expressions, she was a front desk receptionist for a fast-paced medical clinic. Regina also worked for a public school district for 15 years as a paraprofessional with five of those years in Special Education. Regina enjoys working in an office setting, but her passion is working with children. She found Expressions allows her to do both of these things. Although she is new to the world of ABA, she is learning and growing each day along with the children we serve.
