Stephanie is the owner and operator of Expressions Behavioral Healthcare. Stephanie is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who is licensed to provide applied behavior analysis services in both Kansas and Missouri. Stephanie received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Central Missouri in Child and Family Development and a Master of Arts in Special Education with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis from Ball State University.
Stephanie has worked in the ABA field for over 12 years and has experience working with a wide variety of ages, as well as, different needs. Stephanie started her ABA career as an RBT where she gained a lot of knowledge about how to implement and teach different skills and how to follow behavior plans. During this time, she was able to work in a lot of different settings which taught her how to adapt her teaching strategies and communication appropriately for each setting.
Stephanie knew she had found her passion in life by working with individuals on the autism spectrum so after several years of being the direct care implementer she pursued her master’s degree to become a BCBA. After years and years of Stephanie commuting into the city, Stephanie pursued her ultimate goal by opening up her own ABA company, Expressions Behavioral Healthcare, to provide ABA therapy in rural communities that were not being serviced. Stephanie's long term goal, which is currently in the works, is to open up a clinic space to provide early interventions and social skills group to different rural communities around the greater Kansas City area.
Stephanie currently supervises staff and manages cases, trains new RBTs, provides supervision to those pursing their BCBA and BCaBA and also oversees the day to day demands of the office, staff, and clients.
In her spare time, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her family and friends, going to the lake, going on cruises and scrapbooking.
